man i have never … man i have never called a deer before i had this “doe” walk by me down the fence and over a hill im like hmm its getin kinda dark imma try and call i hit it 3 times and here the “doe” came running tryed to find out how to get to where i sprayed doe in heat he went around hopped over a diff fence went around my big one hopped back over to me and hung out for about 5 min 5-10 yrds away he smelt me after marking his terf and ran i called him BACK and he smelt me behind some brush
Good advice. I find … Good advice. I find on my property that grunting will 99% of the time stop the deer but not necessarily bring them in. Usually for me they will look in the direction acknowledging that they have heard something but from there they continue to browse. If I continue to grunt they simply don’t pay attention to it.
Good advice for … Good advice for rookies. My first buck trotted right under my treestand from a dog chasing it. at his speed and him suprising me, i barely had enough time to use my grunt call, but the moment i did he stopped dead in his tracks, and i took him down.
