Tips on tracking a wounded deer

This is a suggestion for tracking a wounded deer at night.

Use two LED flashlights, one with a strobe. Use the one with a strobe as a beacon when you lose the blood trail. When deer hunting, the animal does not always fall dead when shot. Sometimes the deer will run for a little ways, then die. When hunting in the evening, if a deer runs off right before sun down, tracking the animal in the dark and can a daunting task.

a technique that i seen a person do was u no the alcohol that you ues to put on cuts and it fomes up.Put that is a spray bottle with some food coloring in it and spray the groung when fomes u can see where the blood trail is that your looken for

Is it better to risk a wounded deer or try and get closer when it might run away, with a compound bow with this technique?
