i am going to hunt in bath county ky, a place called salt lick next saturday. any tips for that area and time of year would be helpful.
Like previously stated the ruts not in yet and the bucks may still be together. They should be feeling the rut and fighting a bit. You might want to keep an eye on the main trails, food and water sources, corners of fields. Rattling one in could work well so I’d try it, but gently not a full blown street brawl. They should be trying to sort out dominance pretty soon.
