Hunting program thins deer herd by 119 (The Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil)
Council Bluffs’ second year of a bow-hunting program to reduce the deer population ended Sunday with 119 animals taken by hunters, said Public Health Director Donn Dierks. The season began last Sept. 15.

Where is a good place to hunt mule deer in oregon?
ok please help me. i want to shoot a big mule deer buck because i think it will be my last hunting expeience with my grandpa. we both have 10 prefrence points so i think we could draw any tag. it is his dream to shoot a mule deer before he dies, so please help me!
I have never personally hunted it, but I have hear good things about the Whitehorse, Owyhee and Beulah units for mule deer.

Go to the local gun shops and find yourself a nice 30-30 lever action. It’s the classic deer rifle and will last several lifetimes.

Yeah — practice practice practice with your firearm…. Remember this. When an opportunity to shoot a deer arises will he be thru some brush? Up a hill? down a hill? across a ravine. Will you have to fire standing up? kneeling? leaning against a tree? over a big rock? Practice not just at a range under ideal conditions. Practice out in the field…….
